How to get there

Arrival by car:
The high plateau of Melchsee-Frutt is traffic-free and can only be reached by cable car from Stöckalp. We recommend to use the Stöckalp car park which is free of charge.
Take the motorway to Lucerne (A2) and leave the A2 at the Lopper junction and proceed to the A8, Interlaken, Sarnen. From Sarnen follow the cantonal road to Kerns, Melchtal, Stöckalp.

Arrival by public transportation:
Take the train to Sarnen and then the public bus from the railway station to Kerns. Exit the bus right at the doorstep of the cable car at Stöckalp. Check the SBB online timetables for more information on the connections (external pagewww.sbb.ch).

Cable car from Stöckalp to Melchsee-Frutt:
Melchsee-Frutt is only accessible via cable car from Stöckalp within 15 minutes. The cable car runs from 8am to 6pm. Inform the staff about your stay at Frutt Lodge so that they can take care of your luggage.
